QUACY Benjamin appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on Monday on an indictable simple larceny charge, which stated that between June 10 and 11, he stole one all-terrain vehicle (ATV) valued $3.3M, property of Linden Nurse.
Attorney-at-Law, Trenton Lake, representing the accused, requested reasonable bail, contending that his client is a dredge owner, whose camp the police had completely destroyed during investigations into the alleged incident. Police Corporal, Simone Payne, prosecuting, did not object to bail, but requested that it be at a substantial amount. Benjamin was placed on $450,000 bail, and the matter will be recalled on September 25. |
