SEAN Paul (no address given) appeared before acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry Friday at the Georgetown Magistrates Court, charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The act was reputedly committed on his alleged lover, Quacy Crawford, on August 8 on Bent Street, Wortmanville, in the city. The court heard that the two males had been living together but had recently separated; after Crawford decided to go to his former home to collect some items, Paul reportedly picked up a cutlass and broadsided him. Paul pleaded not guilty to the charge, stating that Crawford had threatened him, and that the police were trying to victimize him. Paul was placed on $10,000 bail, and the matter was adjourned to September 13 |
