| MCYS/NSC to host Under-17 cricket camp at Enterprise |

THE MINISTRY of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCYS) in collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC), will from July 23 to 27, host an Under-17 cricket camp at the Enterprise Cricket Club ground in Enterprise, under the tutelage of Latchman Yadram.
Participants will be lectured on the Basics of Cricket, Road Safety, Food and Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, Leadership and Discipline among other topics from 08:30hrs to 12:00hrs each day, with the Director of Sports within the NSC, Neil Kumar, delivering the feature address at Monday’s opening ceremony. At the conclusion of the camp, those in attendance will be issued with a Certification of Participation at the closing ceremony which will take place at the same venue. According to Yadram, eight schools at both the secondary and primary levels, are being targeted for this camp which will also see Daniel Richmond, Admin Officer of the NSC Gervy Harry and Herman Persaud assist with the dissemination of information to the participants. |
