‘Breadie’ remanded on rape, robbery charges PDF Print E-mail

STEEL bender, Godwin Hubbard Alias ‘Breadie’, 52, was remanded to prison last Thursday when he appeared at Suddie Court on rape and robbery charges. Before Magistrate Leron Daly, the accused, of Devonshire Castle, also on Essequibo Coast, was not required to plea, having been charged indictably and will make another appearance on August 24.
It is alleged that he raped and robbed a religious woman of Devonshire Castle on the night of July 5.
However, relatives of the accused are not pleased with the police investigations into the matter and said another suspect was held for questioning but released.
