THE Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP) will this Sunday host a Beginners’ competition, under the kind sponsorship of Auto Tech Car Rentals who has put up three trophies for the top three finishers, at the Malteenoes Sports Club pavilion.
This competition is open to persons who have played in less than five (5) rated competitions organised by the GASP. An entrance fee of $300 will be charged for those desirous of competing in the competition which gets under way at 10:00hrs, following the registration of players which would begin 15 minutes earlier. With the aim to recruit new players, GASP had three of the potential competitors for Sunday’s competition on the Sports Show, being hosted by Edwin Seeraj on NCN Channel 11, while other discussions will be centred on GASP’s hosting of the Caribbean Championships next month-end and its preparations for same. |
