--“junkie” spouse on the run FORTY-THREE-year-old Donna Thomas was found dead in her apartment at Lot 6-7 Durban and Cross Streets, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, yesterday morning at about 09:00hrs when a friend came by to pay her a visit. The woman was found with several stab wounds to her body, one of her wrists appeared to have marks of violence, and there was also a cut to the back of her foot.Donna Thomas had been a former employee of the Professional Guard Service Limited (PGS). She leaves to mourn three children. The landlord, Randolph Yaw, said the woman’s common law spouse, who is a “junkie”, would normally create chaos in the home when she did not give him his way; and other tenants recounted that they had last seen Thomas about 11:00hrs on the previous night, but had not heard any unusual noises coming from the apartment. The alleged murderer, known as “Andy”, is said to be on the run, but one man is in police custody assisting with investigations. |
