I DO make a special effort to fully take in as much valuable information as they are transmitted for my personal benefit and it helps me to grow healthy as an independent sports enthusiast with absolutely no affiliation to any sporting body in Guyana. I also have absolutely no ambition to serve on any committee or become a member.
Author, Mr. Wayne Walcott, Athletics/Therapist is just another educator who has recently contributed significantly to my healthy growing with his KN captioned report "The facts about athletics today" dated May 11, 2012. In my book, there shouldn't be anyone who falls under the umbrella of the Track and Field fraternity of Guyana and view the author as a threat, but rather, an educator in his own right. He is absolutely correct with his report and we should be very grateful for such a report because as I see it, it’s one way that can help with the sense of direction in relation to T&F progress in Guyana. If we continue with the same old direction and mindset and not open to transformation, we will only continue towards disaster. I say to the general public, grab this opportunity of guidance from a professional (Mr. Wayne Walcott) and I am almost sure Guyana can move towards a more fruitful and healthy outcome in sports. I am also certain they are other professionals/consultants who are qualified and can also contribute significantly along the same avenue. So, the burning question is as follows: Is the Athletics Association of Guyana open to guidance from the brilliant minds of educators/professionals/consultants and transformation for the development of its discipline? |
