THE NATIONAL Milling Company of Guyana Limited (NAMILCO) has gifted the Guyana Fire Service (GFS) a freezer worth $247,000 in recognition of the latter’s work in preventing and fighting fires.
N AMILCO Managing Director Bert Sukhai made himself available on Tuesday to personally hand over the freezer to Chief Fire Officer, Marlon Gentle in the presence of his officers and staffers.Gentle told the gathering that the freezer will be placed in the canteen to serve on- and off-duty ranks, and it is the ideal way to refresh ranks when they would have returned from a fire scene, or after training sessions. The GFS was thankful for the gift, and made that known to NAMILCO boss, Bert Sukhai. |
