I WRITE to ask the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) to tell the sports community and the nation at large about the utilisation of the acre of land granted to it by the government some time ago.
In the context of this year’s imminent Olympic Games, could the GOA tell Guyana’s sportsmen and women the status of the programme to erect a modern edifice to exemplify both our sporting aspirations and administration? Perhaps the more enthusiastic of our investigative (Sports) journalists could persuade the GOA to enlighten us, just as they demand updates and insights from the Ministry of Sports. Surely there are numerous sports associations no doubt affiliates of the same GOA who can use the land allocated to the GOA, more urgently. I am earnestly awaiting a response. |
