SINGER Jessica Xavier, 27, who is faced with a causing death by dangerous driving charge last March 5, made another appearance before Magistrate Alex Moore at Sparendaam Court yesterday.
Her lawyer, Mr. Marcel Bobb requested that she be given back her driver’s licence, as she needs it to attend to important work at Lethem, in Rupununi District. The magistrate granted the request but ordered Xavier to lodge her passport and return to court on June 7. The allegation against Xavier, who is on self-bail, said that, last February 26, at Mon Repos Public Road, also on East Coast Demerara, she drove a vehicle in a reckless manner and caused the death of 20-year-old Vangaskar Ramcharitar. |
